Erie VAMC to Host VA2K Walk & Roll Event to Benefit Homeless. – Erie VAMC to Host VA2K Walk & Roll Event to Benefit Homeless Veterans. March 27, 2017. Erie VAMC is proud to host the 7th annual VA2K Walk & Roll event coming up Wednesday, May 17 at the Erie VAMC 2nd floor picnic pavilion to support homeless Veterans and to promote health and wellness.

On a sunny day in May, VA Pittsburgh employees joined their co-workers around the country for the VA2K to benefit homeless Veterans while promoting health and wellness. For the second straight year, VA coordinated this national program to promote both employee health and wellness as well as to help raise awareness of VA homeless programs.

VA2K Walk and Roll to Support Homeless Veterans and Promote Physical Activity . VA Western New york healthcare system will host a VA2K Walk and Roll on May 20, at Buffalo and Batavia sites to encourage healthy activity while supporting homeless Veterans with donated items. The VA2K Walk and Roll is free and open to the general public.

“Last year, VA’s 2K here at MEDVAMC was extremely successful, and we intend to collect even more in-kind donations and involve more participants in support of wellness and homeless Veterans.” The MEDVAMC event is just one of many 2Ks taking place May 15 at other VA facilities across the country.
